Cut from stained glass and shaped by hand, this piece captures a moment from the meadow walks along the towpath — blue flax nodding in the breeze, a white butterfly pausing mid-flight above it. Each petal is leaded in soft cornflower blue, the butterfly's wings traced in translucent white so light passes through them like sunlight through real gossamer. A small piece of a summer meadow, made to hang in a window and catch the light long after the season has passed.
