The first sign that the earth is waking up.
Bring the quiet resilience of the early spring towpath into your home with our handcrafted Stained Glass Snowdrop. Known as the ‘Fair Maid of February,’ the snowdrop is a symbol of hope, consolation, and the promise of warmer days ahead.
Each stem is meticulously handcrafted aboard my narrowboat studio, *Willow Aurora*, as we cruise the Kennet & Avon Canal. Unlike the wild blooms that fade within weeks, this glass version is designed to hold the light forever.
The Craft
Using the traditional Tiffany copper-foil method, I hand-cut each petal from **icy white cathedral glass** and **translucent leaf-green glass**. The "nodding" head of the snowdrop is soldered to a delicate, silver-toned stem that can be gently adjusted to sit perfectly in your favorite bud vase.
Product Details
Dimensions: Approximately 15cm in height.
Materials: Genuine stained glass, copper foil, and lead-free solder with a polished traditional stained glass black finish.
Versatility: Each bloom is a "Single Stem," perfect for a narrow-necked bud vase or as a delicate addition to a dried flower arrangement.
Unique Character: As each piece is cut and soldered by hand on the water, no two snowdrops are identical—just like the ones in the wild.
